Butterflies Fly Away

There are good butterflies and bad butterflies.

Good butterflies are those pretty little ones fluttering about in the meadows, when the sun beams and warms up the surroundings. The butterflies are those with the exotic, colourful and gorgeous wings. But I like white better. ;)

Bad butterflies couldn't care less about colours. Well, only because you can't see these butterflies. They are the ones causing the stomach churns upon receiving a topic to spontaneously talk about for almost 5 minutes. Yeah, impromptu speech starts next week. First managerial communication assignment! Gosh. Many are worried of getting mental breakdowns or blocks prior to speech. I'm not excluded, nuh uh.

Keeping the fingers crossed.

p/s: I'm getting really restless. :/

Miffed

Miffed means upset.
Well, initially I thought it meant irritated or annoyed. But I think it all sums up to the same thing.
I like that word. Sounds pretty cute. :)

By the way, I've got an Englishman for Managerial Communications!
I'm a little bit pumped up to have an ang moh teaching me for the first time. :D Listening to that British accent feels different from all the usual accents that I've heard thoughout the years of learning. Haha. I feel so ulu now.

But he's a funny man. Often chuckling to himself, probably absorbed in his own humour. He loves to go 'Aha!', like 'Eureka!'. Know what I mean?
He's about say, 70 plus of age? So that reminds me of my grandmother being a lecturer. *giggles* Oh yeah, he taught the class what 'miffed' meant. :)

Hmmm, suddenly I miss home.
Funny thing that though you are surrounded by many people, you'd still feel homesick.
It's funnier that the nearer you are to home, the more you miss the comforts it offers. :(

Quick Quick Quick!

Yesh! The 8tv Quickie interview was held here, in MMU Cyberjaya, today! Awesomeee. But I didn't have time to go poke my nose in to see what's happening and all because I reached campus at 1pm plus and the interview ended at 2pm. It was very tempting to take part in the interview. Well, to see how I would fare in hosting shows, yada yada. :D

Owh yes. Today also marks the start of a brand new semester!
Urghhh. The timetable is pretty lousy and most classes are already full! Crap, no? It is so difficult even to just sign up for a sport subject. They were all full! Kiasu ahhh. I was told that only in desperate measures, they'll open up extra classes for Taekwondo, Deejay Program, National Dance and Chess. Chess?! Err, maybe next time. Heh.

I had a fairly healthy first day though. I went to the gym and played basketball! ;)
The trip to the gym wasn't really productive anyway because there were 2 people hogging the treadmill and the other machine was spoilt. Such lousy maintenance! The 'bicycles' weren't even functioning. Gah. I prefer Malacca's gym which has music on, more facilities and an instructor there!
I had a great sweat though during basketball. *thumbs up*
Tomorrow's scheduled for volleyball practice. Gotta shape up for cousin's wedding next year, yo!

Alright then. Back to printing lecture notes, tutorials and exercises. *sigh* Quantitative Analysis lecturer's pretty strict on notes and exercises. And PUNCTUALITY. No more "Oops, sorry I'm late due to traffic jam". :(

Tata!

Start With Kitties, End With Kitties.

Dum dee dum dee dum.
So the holidays are coming to an end. Oh, how I dread to go back to Cyberjaya and leave the comforts of my own home. *sighs*
Nevertheless, the holidays were fairly well spent, with the usual visit back to Malacca. (Malacca again, ah?) Yeah lorrrrh. But but but there were dashes of first-times to add some spice to the holidays. For example, it was the first time we went to the Malacca Night Safari despite the months we spent there last year. Then, there was the first time at Geographer's where we got a tad bit perasan towards the end. (Lazy to explain now) Lol. And, not to forget the first time to Pulau Ketam where the restaurant overcharged us. How could she?! *with a speck of drama* First time renting bikes to ride. But I had to walk, eventually. First time bowling. Ahh.

As I'm pretty lazy to type stuff, I'll let the pictures to do the talking. :)

#1
This is probably the cutest kitty I've ever seen!
See? It looks as if it's smiling.

This shot makes me think of Puss In Boots from Shrek.

#2
The night safari - it would be better to visit during the day though. Well, because most of the animals are sleeping at night and weren't very active.
Except this Slow Loris.
This owl lost one of its eyes but my phone cam wasn't good enough to capture it.

#3
Pulau Ketam. Don't have to think about staying a night, unless you want to fish at night. :)
From this picture,
does it look like...
...
..
.
this?A little, eh? By the way, the second picture was taken in Langkawi.
Of course, the water's much clearer there.

If you've not been to Pulau Ketam, this is how the road there looks like. Where are the tar roads and traffic lights? No worries about traffic jam and all that, as there aren't any cars. The only mode of transportation is bicycle. Oh yes, of course, your own legs. Good way to shed some kilos.

A: Gasp! We've got to walk?!
B: I don't want tooo!
C: I'd rather sleep.
Haha. Lame - yeah I know. Just ignore. I'm still hunting for the blog entry posting mojo.

#4
Bowling. Tada!
Yeah, the lowest score belongs to me. I think I have zero talent in bowling lahhhh. Nevermind, this calls for more blowling training sessions! Who's up for it? :D
The ballssss. They've all got different weights, you know?

So, that's about all. Before I end, I just wanna share this wall painting with all of you. I absolutely love love love it! This might just be something for me to paint on my wall. Inspiration, come come come!

Oh, I just realised that the first picture I posted was a kitteh and I so happen ended the post with a wall kitteh! Hence, the post title. Haha. Toodles, all! ;)

Such fabulosity ;)

Sorry for such a short post. But I just had to express the relief! :DDDD

Hold On

There are times when you feel so sick of life and you want to put a stop to the rolling ball, the times when you thought - this is it, I am done for now. You feel like giving up.

I've felt the restlessness of studying and awaiting the exam day to come and go.
I've felt the urge to stop reading and let luck decide my results.
I've felt the tiredness and and the heaviness of my eyelids each time my brain was not active enough to digest the contents of the book.
I feel an overdose of homesickness.
Yeah, it ain't much fun.

But then again, I thought to myself.
Hey, this is just the beginning. Giving up easily brings hopes of your parents and yourself come
crashing down. Just like that. Can't risk that after all the hard work you've done to reach where you are now. After all those support family and friends had given.

You'll never walk alone, no matter how dark the path ahead is, when you have those who cared for you, around you. Great companies drive great motivation. Though they aren't physically present. Knowing that someone cares gives you faith to keep pushing through. And carry on.

That's why I've decided to continue.

Make a call to your loved ones to have a chat at stressed times. Don't tell them you're okay if you really are not. Just tell them you. are. not. okay. It helps. :)
